Future Innerleithen

Following a recent meeting attended by a number of local groups, the “Future Innerleithen” working party has been formed to establish the views of people in Innerleithen i.e. the EH44 postcode area. This group comes under the umbrella of the Innerleithen Community Trust.

It is felt locally that Innerleithen has missed out on investment in recent years with most investments going elsewhere in Tweeddale, we think that it now time for Innerleithen to have money spent on it for the good of its residents, shop keepers, businesses and visitors.

First of all we need to find out what you think about the local community facilities and what changes and new facilities you would like to see (if any). Lottery and other funding will be obtained to develop facilities within the town for the whole community, including organisations such as the Pipe Band, Silver Band, Operatic Society, plus the Youth, Elderly, Disabled and all Sports and for visitors, shop keepers and local businesses.

In the next couple of months we will be canvassing your views, please let us know what you want and need so we can provide the most appropriate facilities for you and the rest of the community.
